Measure the cabinet rather than relying on the dimensions of the appliance being removed. Record the aperture height, width and usable depth, then check ventilation and furniture-door requirements.
Measure the cabinet aperture
- Height at both sides and the centre
- Width at the front and rear
- Usable depth after pipes, sockets and trim
- Plinth height and ventilation path
- Furniture-door dimensions and hinge position
